All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted. 7-5 Noe Ramirez (R) vs. Justin Verlander (R) 7:10 7-6 Andrew Heaney (L) vs. Gerrit Cole (R) 6:15 FOX 7-7 Jose Suarez (L) vs. Jose Urquidy (R) 1:10
2 out of 3 and head into the All-Star break on a pretty high note considering how rough things were looking there for a week or two.
This will be a more fair look at Urquidy. Hopefully he uses it well. Could go into the break with a double digit lead and an 8 game winning streak if all goes well.
We have no idea AT ALL what Urquidy will end up looking like in October. AAA stats, plus one short outing mean next to nothing.
Much like a Harwin knockoff version of Mr Brightside, there are certain posters you just don't take seriously 99% of the time.
Wonder if either of our boys, Verlander and Cole, see this series as an audition for starting the All Star Game. NL has already picked their starter. Stats to play with: https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/MLB/2019-pitching-leaders.shtml
3 @ STL and 2 @ Milw. He could have possibly played left against the Rockies if not for his knee issue.
