Keuchel became the first Astro since Clemens ('05) to 7+ IP <1 ER first 4 starts. Before Clemens is likely 80's. McCullers owned, solid defense, and bats did just enough. If the new batter's eye is a negative factor, it's ALL mental. They should CLEARLY see the ball. Why? Because that's the purpose.
Dang....I completely forgot today was a day game. Would have made work more fun.....just happy we won though.
You are indeed correct. But that prompted me to look around baseball. --We also have the biggest lead over the second place team (3.5 gms) --How about that AL Central? 1st place team is 8-7, last place 7-8. Quite a shooting match developing there. --Reds, Diamondbacks and Rockies in first place. Really?
DBacks aren't an incredible surprise, and the Rockies certainly have some good bats, but nobody could have seen the Reds (Scott Feldman was the opening day starter) starting this strong.
3 out of 4 against the halo is very nice. So far things are going as plans with the good start to the season.
Things always work themselves out. There's always a team that starts the season off as a surprise...only to have them right back where they belong come June. The Reds have been completely out of any spotlight for so long that it seems like a nice story that they're off to a nice start. But if Scott Feldman is your #1, the good times ain't gonna last too long.
