    Westbrook's defense should improve simply because of the system. The switching system should suit Westbrook well. He died on screens. With the switching, he can use his physicality.

    Everyone on the Rockets is built for switching except Austin Rivers who gets pummeled in the post. BUT, it is nice to have a guy like Austin that can move around screens and chase players. He is clearly the best at it on the team. And is nice to have for players like Curry.

    Love that Rivers made it a point to challenge himself this year as a defender being a key role. He emphasized that him and pj are going to be the guys guarding the best perimeter players when they’re on the floor. Whether that works for him is another story but the fact that we have guys willing to accept these kinds of roles is absolutely necessary.

    Players talk about defense all the time. But it’s not often all of them actually go out and play it.
