Trade up rumor; don't know how legit: Pretty much if Watson is there at 16, Ravens and Texans could have a deal in place:

He only has 1000 followers so it might be trash

Meh not that high on Watson. Looking at some highlights from previous drafts forgot how good ben tate was minus the ball security every once in a while and the fact that he played behind TDmatic, Foster. He was a heck of a kid in that zone scheme. R.I.P zone running game and blocking scheme.

ESPN did a "best drafted player for each position for every team" and one of the issues I had with their list was they had Tate at RB. I know he was good but was he as good as Dominick Davis? I would even rank Slaton's short stint here higher than Tate's.

Might work out like a bizzaro 2008 draft where we trade with them to get a QB and they take an OT later in the first.

Not saying it would play out the same way for Watson/Robinson, but as a Texans fan, would you take the career of Joe Flacco over Duane Brown?

Probably fake, that's not a bad deal but I'd do it for Mahomes, not Watson

This year's QB's have been hyped by the media, but there is no Andrew Luck among them. The real question is there a Dak Prescott.

A guy who could look decent behind the best O line in the NFL with one of the best run games in the NFL? Sure, I'd bet there's a few. Sadly, the Texans don't have that kind of O line or running game.

I don't mind taking a risk on a "franchise" QB at #25. Taking a 2nd round grade player at #25 is not that much of a reach. I think the Texans are hoping for a Derek Carr or Jimmy G at 1/25.

Houston fans would have booed Flacco out of town.

I'm all in for taking a qb. If he does well.... we are all happy. If this draft sucks, Rick Smith gets.........firurrrr... a raise.

That's really not a bad deal even if the QBs are off the table. Move up 9 spots in the 1st to move back 14 into the 3rd in a deep draft? Depending on how it goes, could get your top choice of OL or LB. With that said, I don't expect any rumors to have any merit at this point.

I don't like not having a pick in the 2nd, but I guess we'll see.

Yeah but if it means getting to take the next Jake Locker and making the fanbase think they are happy till game 1, worth it.

Just another year on Kirby. We've had a few dozen Jake Lockers. Fans won't notice for half the season. ;)

That's very likely, seeing as they boo all our picks :D

Question is if you'd trade 9 years of a mid-first QB at Flacco level play for 9 years of late-first OT at Brown level play?

It's always a fun cycle with Texans fans. It always starts with the fans coming up with a stupid idea that they suggest the team should do, then if the team does it they get happy till it fails then they b**** about how stupid the team is or if the team doesn't do it they b**** forever that the team didn't do what they wanted......even after it's obvious that idea would have failed.

It's a no win situation with that one part of the fanbase.

how much will PR play a role in the draft? If we didn't draft David Carr because they thought the fans would react negatively to another Carr, could you see them reaching for a QB?

Ricky has mentioned he feels no pressure to draft a QB in the 1st. Also, if we are not sure OB is here next here, I wonder how much pull he has for this draft.
