I would like the Browns' draft 10000% more if they hadn't traded up 1 slot for Gilbert. I realize they didn't give up too much, but seemed so useless.

Yet he was drafted 19 spots higher than Manziel. There's no guarantee Johnny won't be out looking for a job in 8 years either.
Yeah... What a waste of third overall pick he was. Glad the Texans didn't drink the kool-aid again... No guarantees...
That was strange. Did the Vikings call them and say "give us a 5th rounder or else we're drafting Gilbert"? Have they said why they traded up?
Here is one of the better, more objective analysis of Manziel that I've seen. Johnny is NOT the scramble first, no ability to pass player that so many, including a bunch of the so called experts, make him out to be. Plus, he has shown that he has the ability to learn, and transfer that knowledge onto the field--he made a concerted effort to become more of a pocket passer in his second year, and it really showed. He will now have to learn how to avoid taking big hits, which I think he will. Go, Johnny Go.
The Niners just sent a 2015 4th round pick that could upgrade to a 3rd to Buffalo for Stevie Johnson. So if you're scoring at home: Buffalo traded the 9th pick, a 2015 1st and 4th and Stevie Johnson for Sammy Watkins and the Niners 2014 4th. That is awful maneuvering. The Niners are among the shrewdest organizations in sports.
