Chris Mortensen is saying that the Falcons will pick Matt Ryan 3rd. Michael Smith is reporting the Raiders will take McFadden 4th unless a nice trade comes their way. He reported that the Saints are trying to move up to grab a defensive prospect like Dorsey and may be in negotiations with Oakland, New York, and Kansas City about their picks.

It was reported lastnight that the Saints and Giants were finalizing a deal where Shockey was going to the Saints for their 2nd rounder plus additional picks. Haven't heard anything this morning though.

Am I the only here who can't wait to see Todd McShay's exuberance when Matt Ryan is picked? I mean, the guy harps on him every single time. But when you read the scouting reports of Matt Ryan, they all say he has only average arm strength. Smart? Yes (duh, its BC) Mobile in the pocket? Yes, but not Micheal Vick mobile. Intangibles? Yes.

Don't get me wrong, Matt Ryan is a nice player and all, but I don't he has the potential to be the franchise-turning quarterback everyone is expecting him to be.

Has anyone ever been to the Texans draft party? Is it worth going to?

NFL network says they are commercial free up until the 3rd pick. They just did an interview with Manning...was nice even thought I am not a fan of his....

Man, NFL draft...4 NBA games. Time to be a lazy bum on the couch.....

Best QB, best OT, and best DE are hyped to the max every year. Best RB is picked apart.

Every time they show Darren McFadden's house and his mom, I swear my grandmother used to live in the exact same house. Does anyone know what neighborhood Darren McFadden lived in?

Wow. It's 2:30 and they are already on the 5th pick. I already love this new format.

Agreed...5 picks in 35 minutes is a much better thing! It certainly helps that MIA had their pick made, and the commish didn't give them 10 minutes to discuss about it since he was already picked and signed.

No OT or CB in the top 10 is big for the Texans.
