That's fair, I wasn't trying to say it didn't happen, I just didn't see it. I had a lot going on during this game. It really sucks that he dropped a TD, but the larger point was that they are worthless in the passing game. I don't agree with that, I just think they need better QB play to really thrive.
Savage may be a glimmer of hope along with a draft pick. http://m.houstontexans.com/news/art...y-to-go-/8b3c7347-eb02-4042-b09a-f3e2f1b41bbe.
Savage's time is now. If he's got what it takes, he should be the 2016 starter. The Texans could keep Hoyer/Yates/Weeden as the backup and draft their QB3 (if they see one they like on day two of the draft). This might mean another 9-7 season (at best) but could lead to a contender down the road.
Here's the team's actual priority list: 1. Bring back Rick in current capacity, he had a great draft in 2015. 2. Draft Christian Hackenberg with the 22nd pick. 3. Bring back Hoyer and have him start all of 2016 while Hackenberg holds a clipboard. 4. Renegotiate with Arian, sign a three year deal. 5. Bring back the natural grass field. 6. More Clay Walker.
Rare that QBs are let go, but Rivers could be available, he has indicated not wanting to move to L.A. and would explore signing with another team if the team relocates.
Priorities, in my opinion, should be as followed. 1. Sign best available Free Agent QB 2. Draft best available QB in the draft for the future 3. Draft best OL available with 2nd and or 3rd round pick 4. Draft RB, TE, or slot receiveer 5. Draft best players available in the later rounds (5-7) That is what would make a perfect offseason. Go texans
You have to keep Ben Jones and Brandon Brooks no matter what, they will almost certainly keep Charles James, Bouye, Pleasant, and John Simon since they own their rights. The rest can go for all I care.
How about an RB who can actually take it to the house when he breaks into the secondary instead of just stopping like Blue did?
