Next 2 games is on their home court. I think they take 1 game and Rockets win the series in 5. Just my 2 cents.
And sports is 90% mentality, brother. Teams feed off their fans and fans can't be assuming the next two wins are in the basket. That's how we perpetuate the "curse".
I really think this model is flawed. After Parsons and Rondo being out, he still give both team about the same chance to win at each team's home/away games.
In my opinion if the Rockets win game 3 the Mavericks will be thinking it's time for vacation and Rox will sweep
The only way Dirk scores 50 or 60 points on this rockets team is if Dwight, Smith, or Jones all die on the court. Not happening.
thanks y'all, i decided to take him up on the offer hopefully the refs call a fair game GO ROCKETS!!!!!
Good. He's giving you 2-to-1 odds, so the deal isn't so bad even though you'll probably lose. The more important thing here though is that you were running your mouth and the boss called you on it. You have to meet the challenge for the sake of your credibility. Is the boss the owner of this business? If not, gambling with hours might be fraud. Just sayin'.
If The Rockets win tonight - its easy from here on out because the Mavs will be humiliated on their home turf and their confidence will be destroyed. If the Mavericks Win tonight - we're going to 6 or 7 games, because it will be a huge confidence boost for them & knowing Dirk, they will play with a renewed heart for the rest of the series and it will be much closer.
Your math works, but of the previous series how many teams were missing two of their top playmakers? Probability is certainly higher than 33%.
He got 34 tonight and could easily have had a lot more but his first quarter shooting was off. He and Ellis had more than 60 between them. Thank goodness for Harden.
I have to say I've really enjoyed watching posters running around playing thread police in all the overconfident threads telling us to remember 2005 -- and yet more overconfident threads getting made anyway. Yeah, yeah, I know we can still lose the series, but I'm still going to predict the sweep anyway.
I strongly believe that the Rockets should go for the "kill" on Sunday. They would have several days to rest for the next round. Spurs-Clippers may take awhile.
I don't see Dallas just giving up, especially on their home court. I think they will fight tooth and nail. Rockets better be ready for a dogfight. I'd be ecstatic if they pulled off a sweep but I still think the Mavs take one.
I think the Rockets will try their best to win Sunday, but the Mavs won't lay down and quit. They really need to play better on defense for 48 minutes. Not just in the 2nd half. And look out for the refs. Carlisle is obviously trying to work them behind the scenes into putting Dwight in foul trouble.
