No, he isn't injury prone (major one was Achilles tear), but he will be suspect at his age. I don't have a crystal ball. I just count on probabilities and proven data. LASTLY: also, he hasn't sacked a QB since he sacked Tannehill in Dec. of 2012.
It doesn't matter. Well... FINE. I'll entertain. Please don't tell me he was brought in to "teach" the youngsters... that's why we have coaches. He doesn't show up in any major statistical category. Collins, Hightower, and even Chung from NWE show up before Wilfork. He is ranked #382 in tackles for loss, and only had 24 solo tackles. What was he brought in to do? Please tell me you have this inside info and "The Reason" from the Texans coaching staff or management, ima.
^ Bookmarking that and our ranks in RUN defense PRE and POST Wilfork's presence. That's fine and dandy, but, again... he's an aging veteran. If anything, he should have been brought in back in 2012 or 2013. In 2015 he will not be present all games. Bookmark THAT.
Swoly, welcome back. I did a double take, to be honest. And with all due respect, I don't think you understand the function of a nose tackle in most defenses. That's all I'll say.
Tom Brady has never sacked the opposing QB. Dude SUCKS! Arian Foster? Pssh! How many tackles for a loss does that dude have? DeAndre Hopkins is a good receiver? You kidding me? How many rushing touchdowns does he have? Duane Brown an elite LT? Haha! Dude doesn't even have a completion in the NFL!
I wanted to trade the pick, but seeing as this is where are.... There is no reason an in shape/motivated Clowney (with something to prove) can't be great. IF he stays healthy, and doesn't have major, longterm limitations (ala losing lateral agility)....the Texans might yet get a decent return. What are the chances that? More likely he ends up as a pure pass rusher after this.
Welcome back? From what? I wasn't gone. Anyway, whether I did or didn't know the NT position or Romeo's D, I did say that the defense better improve against the RUN but only when he plays. Otherwise, another wasted free agent pick, man.

I just can't even work up a care. Everything I've ready about microfracture, the long term prognosis of the cartilage, the impact microfracture has on the hamstrings and quads makes me doubtful that he can ever reach the level he was projected to be. All I want is him to be an average to above average player for the duration of his rookie contract.
Hey, this is good news... Clowney was able to make it through the walk through in the Puma store without re-injuring himself. I keeed, I keeed....
The Texans are targeting the "end of training camp" for OLB Jadeveon Clowney (microfracture surgery) to return to the football field. That would be eight months after his procedure. Although there have been upbeat reports on Clowney's progress coming out of Houston, no one knows for sure how much his knee cartilage will regenerate, and no one will have a good feel for the results of his recovery until he resumes playing for an extended period. The Texans can't count on Clowney as a 2015 impact contributor. Source: NFL.com
I'll be satisfied if he just can stay healthy for 2/3's of the season. 1st year back from microfracture should be seen as a rehab year anyway. I think if you are hanging your hat on "#1 overall pick" production this upcoming year, you are expecting too much. Also, he's still really a rookie, so I expect a ton of rookie mistakes. Again, if he can just stay on the field most of the time, we can build off of that. "End of training camp" is usually one of those things where they really mean they will reevaluate his status right before the start of the season. I wouldn't rule out a last minute return to the IR if there is swelling and things aren't progressing as well as hoped. Remember how many of these "things are looking up" microfracture reports we got out of T-Mac right before things went south?
