I'd think it's our duty to care for injuried vets from those engagements and that cost should be amortized into the total price tag. Part of Obama's record debt comes from lost revenue during the recession and forced government spending during that time to plug up the loss in GDP due to layoffs and bankruptcies. Fears of death spirals were real, so the lack of perspective here means the economy is in stable enough shape to complain out of frustration rather than out of desperation. I totally agree the debt should be reduced, but it hasn't been the apocalyptic disaster gold bugs and seed fiends were raising hell about five years ago. If Trump fixes that, he'd have to be taken seriously by all Americans.
