What are you talking about? Didn't basso just tell you he's open minded about Obama? What more do you want?
not sure what you're referring to, but my father immigrated to this country in 1955, and my wife's family in the 1880's- why should i, my wife, or our children be forced to pay reparations for something that ended 35 years before the earliest of "our people" set foot on these shores?
It would be an issue if Obama disagreed with you. He doesn't, and nothing in the article supports that idea that he does.
it's a reasonable question, and there's nothing wrong with asking it. he should answer the question as well, since there's nothing in the article that supports your contention.
My fault, the last sentence wasn't talking about basso exactly but the ones who are feverishly trying to promote an "evil black agenda" type of fear behind Obama. But, seriously, basso - I don't care where your family originated or what color your skin is if you can't critically think about whether any president, much less a black one, would openly support reparations and, further, try to do anything about pushing them through. That would be suicide (politically and perhaps literally) for anyone to do. So you can be against reparations all you want but two facts remain: 1. Obama's only public statements have been against them. 2. He would have to be beyond idiotic to promote them even if, deep down, he supported them.
Please There’s nothing reasonable about the question. The guy throws out some supposition about Obama and he’s supposed to defend himself? Just another Rove tactic to put him on the defensive. If he answers the question then it validates the article. Sorry! Not gonna play that game.
so obama should become president bc 1. his middle name is hussein 2. obama rhymes with osama 3. newsmax printed an article which states he may support reparations. yall got any better reasons bc this post is lame.
Does Obama think white folks should be compensated for all the hate crime that happens here in 2008 and has been going on for years? www.ethniccrime.com
Rimbaud, I should have put a or something after my post. I was actually commenting on the ridiculous notion that basso is really open minded about Obama. There isn't a chance in hell that basso ends up supporting Obama, unless Barack has a mental break down and starts calling for the pre-emptive bombing of Syria. The fact that he's treating a Newsmax hatchet job about reparations as if it is a legitimate story is telling.
Good point and frankly, this is what scares me. He publicly was against them prior to 2004, but his actions and his political support group openly support reparations. Does he secretly support reparations? Do his actions speak louder than his words? Can we trust him?
he will get asked it during the campaign. it's a legitimate a question as any other policy issue. he'd better have a one word answer, or he's likely to "scare" a lot of people that might otherwise support him.
There's no point in asking you'll get no reply Oh just remember I don't decide I got no reason it's too all much You'll always find us out to lunch Oh we're so pretty Oh so pretty we're vacant Oh we're so pretty Oh so pretty A vacant Don't ask us to attend 'cos we're not all there Oh don't pretend 'cos I don't care I don't believe illusions 'cos too much is real So stop you're cheap comment 'cos we know what we feel Oh we're so pretty Oh so pretty we're vacant Oh we're so pretty Oh so pretty we're vacant Ah but now and we don't care giff - sorry for not comprehending your meaning. I was confused that you would have written that...but these days I am confused a lot as my mind is fairly mushy.
and you can bet if a republican was supported by a group that promoted a similarly divisive policy, on issues from abortion to gay rights, to stem cell research, he'd get quizzed as to whether he supported the policy in question. as he should be.
oh no!!! romney was publically for univeral health care. now he publically opposes them. does he secretly support holistic medicine instead? can we trust him?!?!?!
