I feel sorry for ya'll living down South cuz alot of your wild caught seafood is coming from the Gulf. Live oysters/blue crabs and shrimp perish very quickly so it only makes sense that businesses in the South minimize shipping costs as much as possible. Or if you want to be safe, eat seafood that is not found in the Gulf like Dungeness crab, American lobster and Halibut.
I've eliminated red meat and chicken from my diet. All I have left is seafood and fake meat. I'll take my chances eating some oil spilled-on shrimp.
From the quoted article: "We're being trained to detect different levels of taint" I was at Kroger the other day and they had a sign up that said " Fresh Gulf Shrimp" but when I looked at the bag it said " Product Of Thailand". Almost all seafood is frozen immediately after caught anyway, 'fresh' is just marketing. The Tony Chachere shrimp at Sam's were worth the money for flavor though. They are still there.
that may be the first time i've ever seen you not post a picture. you couldnt find tainted taint on the internet?
