I wasn't necessarily suggesting that it would be illegal, I think they'd be smarter than that. The way you'd do it is by having a legit investigation into someone close to Trump and that would allow you to pick up "incidental" intelligence. The people who would conduct the surveillance would be the same people who would conduct surveillance into anyone in the US, it would be any of several agencies. That's how you gather intelligence on a political rival without sending up any red flags and without breaking any laws. Again though, I'm not saying this certainly happened, but that it wouldn't be out of character for the Obama administration given their history.
That's exactly what happened. We had ongoing wiretaps of Russian officials and when Trump's people talked to them, they ended up on the wiretaps.

This highlights Bobby's lack of intellegence. His baseline for intellegence is so low, he honestly thinks that when someone mistypes 'your' instead of 'you're' he automatically jumps to 'it must be because he dumb' while actual intellegent people would ignore it because they probably assume that the vast majority of English language speakers know the difference and that more than likely it was a autocorrect typo. I never call out spelling or grammar unless I can't understand the actual post.
