    Rockets cap experts, if rockets traded either Asik or lin taking back minimal or no saley and renouncing other guys what could they make melo's starting salary?

    No, Harden wouldn't be the point guard, for crying out loud. Please, try and get this to stick for once.

    Beverly would be the point guard and his job would to find the best option. Pnr for Harden then give it to him. Post up Howard or Melo, set it up to get them the ball.

    I think around 17-18m from just trading those two for nothing and Melo has said before that he will gladly take a paycut if he has a chance to win a championship.

    It's been real, Chandler....

    It's all lining up for us again....Melo finally wanting to just win, willing to take a pay cut, Dwight getting in his head, NY and Lin...

    I'm not sure why people think there isn't enough to go around. Melo would be taking away all the shots Parsons and Jones take, not necessarily what harden and howard take. The other guys just need to be Tenacious ABCs

    Clutch is confirming what I heard also through 2 different sources. He has not yet confirmed what I heard from those same sources was going on in December.

    You watch too much ESPN, Melo can do more then just hold the ball watch some tape of last years Knicks when they were good and when he plays for team USA.

    As has been mentioned by the Melo supporters in the other threads it really does make a lot of sense. You trade Lin, Asik, and Jones and Melo becomes your stretch 4. You could offer him 17-18m to start which with no state taxes gets him close to what he would get in NY. At 29 he's made a ****load of money now he just wants to win. Houston gives him the best chance to do it.

    Thes best part is you get to keep Parsons and still add a top ten player. That's a better core than the Heat had and you still have the MLE to bring in the Battier/Ray Allens.

    Lin and Asik are gone in a year anyway to say don't do this deal because of fit or whatever is just stupid. You're giving up essentially just Jones.

    Negotiations for the Sign and trade stop immediately at Parsons, but if you can sell New York on:

    Lin / Asik / Jones (or Dmo) / 2014 and 2016 first round picks

    for

    Carmelo

    You make that trade all day.

    If we really want our PF to be a 3pt jacker, Melo is good..more athletic than Love...i doubt a trade will happen...is Lin a Phil Jaxson PG? can Asik be a triangle C?
