I'm sort of flumuxed by CNN's panicky constant converage of this situation (troll job) by Trump as if they've never covered the guy one day.

It's incredibly blatantly obvious what he is trying to do right now and the best thing everyone can do is not pay attention to the bluster, and force the coverage to go back to Trump as actual president of the United States, and not allow the American people to forget what he's doing wrong here in our country which is whole lotta nothing good unless you are a hateful bigot who loves his and Jeff Sessions far right policy.

He's trying to get his approval ratings up at least with conservatives by stoking the "patriotic" war thirsty Americans and trying to control the news cycle. He knows the best thing that happened to George W's approval was Osama Bin Laden and trying to use Kim as that tool for him to maintain political power.

I don't think it will necessarily work right now (obviously everyone thinks he's crazy now) but it gives him a talking point if Kim Jung does nothing (my tough talk made him cower). It's basically playing a big game of roulette with the lives of thousands or even millions for political points.

Trump fans really are idiots if they fall for this bull crap.

It's my understanding that we do send foreign aid to N. Korea or have in the past. When the N. Korean government seizes aid meant to help its citizens, they turn up the propaganda machine and say we're sending them aide out of fear from dear leader instead of it being a good natured humanitarian effort. Regardless of the propaganda used by N. Korea, I'm all for feeding hungry mouths. I think citizens of N. Korea know they're in a shithole country that is different from the rest of the modern world and any aid would benefit those citizens.

This is as close to making an official statement without doing so. China is weighing in and balancing the scale...

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-missiles-china-media-idUSKBN1AR005

The widely read state-run Global Times, published by the ruling Communist Party's official People's Daily, wrote in an editorial that Beijing is not able to persuade either Washington or Pyongyang to back down.

"It needs to make clear its stance to all sides and make them understand that when their actions jeopardize China's interests, China will respond with a firm hand," said the paper, which does not represent government policy.

"China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten U.S. soil first and the U.S. retaliates, China will stay neutral," it added.

"If the U.S. and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so."

I love the following statement from Trump. It made me lol Unfortunately they're not skits.

Hey guam everything is going to be ok. Doesn't everyone love sunsets? If NK should hit you with a blast the sky will look like a beautiful sunset all the time. And who doesn't like sunsets!??!!?

btw, NK, in response to Trump's latest red line, "N. Korea 'on standby to launch,' state-run paper says in response to Trump's latest warnings" (re: Fox News).

That's Trump. Massive attention = awesome. He just has no awareness of the unnecessary increased risks to people lives or if he does, he doesn't care.

Damn how could Japan see a missile coming at them, pass into their territory without immediately firing back.

Why is this not huge news?

because 1: Japan do not want to start a war over a missile drill. 2: Start a war according to some news broadcast is stupid.

NK related news that is made by Japan is usually fake news.

Because they have radars and can tell from the trajectory of the missile that it's going to fly over Japan instead of hitting them. This is not the first North Korean missile to fly over Japan.
