Trying to squeeze two things into one post to save some server space. First, interesting mention about Yao Ming on National Public Radio this afternoon. They had a guy who wrote a book on international basketball and he said that they didn't even keep stats for individual players in China until a few years ago. If a player scored or rebounded too much, he was taken into a meeting and "shamed" for not being more of a team player. Wow. Second, I have been invited to represent ClutchCity.net on Austin sports radio station 1300AM to do a draft preview tomorrow morning (Wednesday) at 8:20am and a review on Thursday at 7:40am. You can actually listen live at http://www.sportsradio1300.com/ Proud to represent the site!
That's nothing compared to the constant adoration and fame you'll soon get when you reach the magical 10K post milestone
This is all very cool jeff, but 8:20 in the morning? I wouldnt get up at 8:20 during the summer if Jesus was live and in person.
118 views and only 3 replies? That sucks. Hey Jeff, Don't know how often you've been on radio, but to me that's a huge ordeal. That's pretty cool that you get to go on the radio and give the listeners some real deal on the draft. Especially since it'll have a Rockets edge to it. Congrats man. I'll be listening.
Thanks. I did quite a lot of radio and tv interviews during the arena campaign so I'm kinda used to it. It's just nice that cc.net gets the respect.
Oh by the way, could you give me a plug? You could say something like, Ming will be our Roc in the Paint for years to come.. ( big smile ) Go Ming!!
Hey, and don't forget to send a shout out to your boy dTown Wait....so will you be going for the 15 minutes of fame or the longer stint via infamy???? Congrats Jeff!!! Represent us fanatics
Clutch maybe the HEART AND SOUL of the site but Jeff is definately the FACE AND VOICE of CLUTCHCITY.NET Rocket River
Congratulations Jeff, I'll be listening (if I don't oversleep from staying up all night glued to this site! I think I've developed Yao-mania).
That's fantastic Jeff. Congratulations, this will be great for Clutchcity.Net,which is the most marvelous basketball fansite on the Net.
so that leaves me, Kagy, and Will fighting over "the smelly ass of CC.net", "the ingrown toenail of CC.net", and "the failing liver of CC.net". Fight amongst yourselves, you two, I know which one I want. I'd like to take this opportunity, too, to give kudos to Jeff, and wish Dave the best of luck with servers, sleep, and other stuff tomorrow. Another thing I'd like to throw out is for you peeps out there in BBS land to help a Clutchinator out by spending more time chatting and less time foruming tomorrow...
