You're likely right about that. I need to go to some "Texans" games for the first time, and some Astros games again with my nephew in Houston. Being bitter about this stuff for so long about the "Texans" probably isn't healthy. I'll never like the name of that team. Never. It's the worst team name in the NFL, in my humble opinion. The Astros? God, I don't know. That's more recent. I'm still furious about what happened, yet I love baseball. We'll see. Thanks for the encouragement.
http://www.nydailynews.com/life-sty...lexander-nabs-20m-nyc-condo-article-1.2250504 Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander nabs $20M Midtown condo just months after listing $50M Gramercy pad MidTown New York, not that overrated place in Houston where people go to clubs. ---- DaDakota and his house
I don't really see the need to. I have a couple friends from San Antonio. Basically, this is how I talk basketball with them: "I really admire what you guys have done in the past couple decades, and I'd kill to have your coach. That said, if our team pulls its head out of its ass and beats you, I'll be happy. If I were you, I wouldn't get too sour about it." They don't. They know what they've got, and they rooted for the Rockets last year when we got to the WCFs. I root for the Spurs out of respect when they inevitably get to the playoffs as long as its not against us. We all find it hard to root for the Mavs, though, if they're somehow the only Texas team still standing.
I guarantee you that Les goes to more Rockets games in Houston than Dada. Les is a huge fan of winning and the team. As owners go, he's been the best for Houston of any of the clubs.
Nope, still not there - oh sure you play D for a couple of games then go to New Orleans and give up the ghost. If you are not going to commit to play hard, you are not getting financial support. Too many games lost due to lack of effort. DD
The revenue that they will potentially lose from the handful of single-game tickets you're not buying in protest is really going to go a long way towards getting consistent effort from the players. Keep fighting the power. Or, they'll probably just end up selling those single game tickets to someone else.
Yep, but eventually when enough people get disgusted by the lack of effort, it will make a difference. I am just the guy driving the bus, when it fills up, the Les has a problem. DD
When the owner of the rockets took a similar position earlier in the season, you can't blame DD. The game before Mac got fired, vs the C's , we were winning and Les stopped watching because he knew the team was playing like a bunch of losers and were going to lose. He stated this publicly. If the owner was so disgusted, while his team was winning, how do you think fans feel when they spend their hard earned money on a bunch of con men that pretend like they give a crap out there? Not only do the fans send the message, the media does too. Nationally televised games are dropped, the arena is less electric, and the city enthusiasm drops.
"You may go to hell and I will go to Texas." http://texasheritagesociety.org/David-Crockett-Quote.html
Over the last ten years, the Rockets are worse than the texans and astros? Maybe I don't understand you.
Well, Texas wasn't a State or Republic back then, yet he still fought for it. I think he meant John Wayne.
