Thank you for the feedback. As I am Lithuanian, I sometimes lack the knowledge/context of the subtleties of the American culture. I just assumed that since Houston is in Texas, the Western-like typeface would make sense. I'll make an updated version soon.
np, houston itself does have western culture but i wouldn't include the rockets in that. the rockets theme touches the forward thinking, progressing culture, medical center, nasa, etc... ideas and themes more than a traditional, nostalgic, western, theme. search nasalization or space age font for what i mean. here is an example using spaceage,
TBH IMO the logo just looks too kiddish and not like a professional nba logo. The work is good but the style doesn't fit like grown men playing professional basketball if that makes sense
That looks like something you would see promoting some San Francisco street festival, not a basketball team.
Throw some mustard yellow in the red one, and make the blue one black red,(mustard yellow and we might have something!
The red/yellow is really cool. Make the blue black/silver/red highlights like their alternates are now
Aside from the font this is pretty damned sweet. I love how the ball flows with some fire off the rocket.
The design looks good, but the exhaust smoke looks too much like two hearts, so maybe change that shape a bit
