I'm not saying that it wasn't a mistake to include dental plans. However, your number are off, as of May of this year, signups were over 8 million. If I assume that the 400k was included in THAT number, then signups were 7.6 million, 600k over the goal. http://www.politico.com/story/2014/05/report-obamacare-sign-ups-106245.html
incorrect signups where at 7.3 million and are now at 6.7 mil. Just google it. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-11-20/obamacare-s-subscriber-rolls-include-unpublicized-dental-plans.html https://time.com/3598098/white-house-obamacare-dental-plans/ http://dailycaller.com/2014/11/20/cms-propped-up-obamacare-enrollment-total-with-dental-plans/
I gave you an article which gives more updated numbers than these. According to the more recent numbers, there were 8 million signups as of May of this year. I suppose you're just b****ing that the ACA didn't hit its target by October of last year, which is your right. However, your b****ing doesn't change the simple fact that the ACA is working.
Again wrong (I literally just quoted the HHS saying it was 6.7 million). My numbers are from September of this year. Like I said all u have to do is Google the issue. the 8 million number you are talking about (which came out in April; not May) was revisoned down to 7.1 million earlier this month. The reduction came from those not paying for their selected plan. Why am i doing all this work for you? Stop being lazy and type it in Google and stop using an article from ****ing May. Finally, just to hopefully put the final nail in the coffin. Your article is from Politico, well here's Politico's article from yesterday
If my "coffin" is the one in which the ACA hit 95% of its enrollment goals, is expected to reach 100% of those goals by the end of the current enrollment period, has slowed medical inflation to the lowest rate in decades, and has led to the lowest uninsured rate we have ever recorded, then I'll be happy to lie in my "coffin," secure in the knowledge that the ACA is working while Republicans are reduced to hypocritically b****ing about politics being played during its passage.
