Hello all. I would just like to divulge my amazement on the Louis Scola amnesty move by Houston's FO. LUDICROUS! Lowry, Dragic and now this? More to the point, however........... Make no mistake nor foolish presumption, James Dolan will absolutely match Lin's offer sheet, incremented to apply pressure or no. In fact, I think he'll take the utmost pleasure in doing so. Dolon is a precocious billionaire, and his "all in" 3 year plan won't be slighted by a mere $6M increase in salary for the marketing machine that is Jeremy Lin. The tax penalty for Dolan's Knicks in 3 years time will be exorbitant to say the least, but in years past, he's payed in excess of $40M in luxury tax anyway. Is Lin really the bait to catch the big fish? Were Scola, Dragic and Lowry worth sacrificing for a pipe dream? All seems like a case of fanciful ambition by a franchise clawing to clean up its own folly, in my (and the rest of the league's) opinion.

Couldn't agree with you anymore. I feel the exact same way. Is it worth renting a botched up Howard for ONE year and taking on Hedo $25 Mill for the next 2-3 seasons while losing Dragic, Lowry, Scola for absoutely NOTHING and overpaying Lin and Asik? This is Morey's plan. This guy surely deserves to be nominated for the Darwin Awards.
