20/20 with 11 blocks , 3 steals in Chicago's slow paced system?! Best center in NBA? http://www.nba.com/games/20130228/PHICHI/gameinfo.html
But this is a legit question. Right now and today what centers are you taking over Noah? I know, we look at his stats and you aren't amazed by them, but in a NBA where there aren't many dominant centers I think he has a case for this season at least. He does play a very large role on a great team.
I can't think of Noah as the best at anything because he doesn't play hard every game and has admitted as much. I want to like the guy (he's on one of my favorite teams) but just can't. Too many times last year his rump (along with his fat contract) was on the bench in the 4th quarter while Asik played. He's a 10/10 to 11/11 guy and always will be until he decides to play with passion on a consistent basis. Tonight's effort was a fluke. Before the game, Joking Noah said to Dr. Jack Ramsay it was on him to bring more energy to help the Bulls break their slide. He did for once. Yay!
How many of those 43 games Howard also has 10+ blocks? Asik's number benefited from our fastest pace in the NBA, so Noah's number is crazy good for this slow-paced game. I don't know for sure, but his may break some records like Love's 30/30 game a couple years ago.
Noah is a great defender, good rebounder, good shotblocker, good passer for his position. What's not to like?
When did Noah stop playing hard every game? This season because of injuries probably? People think of him as one of the biggest try hards in the game, lol.
I love Noah especially since he helped my gators win back to back championships. High energy guy who has passion for the game. He is a top 5 IMO
You're using an extremely broad definition for "great" if the team with the 11th best record in the league qualifies.
