Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the cap going up, can't every NBA team offer at least 1 max deal(or close to it anyway)? And how can we offer 2 with Dwight still around?

That's the trick. They can't offer 2 WITH Dwight around. He has a cap hold that would have to be renounced. They key word is "ability."

I dont see any way it's in the 20s. Might be a high teens but I really don't see the pick being in the 20s.

I watch a lot of the easy myself. Hell I watch a lot of basketball period. I bet on half the games every night lol. The east is weak but does have parity and the Pistons have been playing worse as the season has progressed.

I'm curious to see how they treat dmo. Do they rush him on the court or take it slow? I'm not sure the Pistons got it in them to make the playoffs this year. It sure is possible because all the east is very close right now outside of the cavs and Toronto.

Like I said we will see in 10 games were this Detroit team is heading.

So basically if they hang onto Dwight, they can offer 1 max deal just like almost every other team in the NBA. If they let Dwight go, they can offer 2 max deals, but become a far less desirable destination.

Which means we can dispense with the "sign a big name free agent" plan that Les and Morey seem to have every offseason.

I said it in the other thread. The Bulls are without Butler for at least two more weeks and with Mirotic for much longer possibly the season.
The Heat will be without Bosh.
If you can't see that a team that is only two games behind the 6th seed or so, can't make it to the 20s then I don't knwo what to tell you.

Keep believing I guess. Perhaps Drummond gets injured..

Well, hopefully we'll look back and thank our lucky stars that Dwight wasn't traded.

    Go Rockets, no matter what!

If I'm not mistaken isn't he the GM? Isn't it his job to bring in the best available talent? Jones, Brewer, JT etc..Nobody wants these scrubs

    I'd think they'd demand something like Dwight+1st for Monroe+Majo or Monroe+Vasquez.

Ok cool. Pretty much waving the white flag for this season though...Astros just around the corner I guess.

Interesting. Interesting because Monroe would have ate into the Rockets cap space, but I guess for a talent they would be willing to do that.

Now that Dwight is back, its tough. I mean, he really is a lame duck. Since I am dubious he will return next year just feels odd.

I would like to ask cyber one day..but now our insiders are saying that Morey is making up lies and MIL never showed any interest at Dwight and is just a media spin.

And they are very reliable. So no clue.

I have this feeling like Dwight might still be one of those "max deals" and Morey is hoping that Durant will be the other.

Dwight is a FA this off season due to opt out. THe loss of his 22mill gives houston space to hunt two top players i guess.

No way Dwight deserves to get a Max deal from the Rockets. He will get it somewhere else, Dallas will be waiting.

That's a tragedy. He really needed to be traded, especially given the fact that just came out about James Harden and his relationship with Dwight. This drama seems to be getting worse and worse with this organization. The team is not going anyway this season. The organization needs to look at trading James Harden as well. Those other players can't play with him.

Nobody wants Dwight either. This dude is a goofball that nobody takes serious or even wants in their locker room. I just hope we can dump him somewhere and move on from here.
