Clutch, can you settle a dispute? My wife says only a narcissist would start a site called clutchfans and name himself Clutch. I, on the other hand, think you're a swell fellow. Who's right? Thanks, I'll hang up and listen..

    Clutch,

If Dampier, he of the 'I'm not gonna sign til training camps and preseason are history', were to sign with the Rox then who goes? JT? Or...?

    Thanks...x...

Thanks for taking my call fellas....I just felt Pat Pat needs time to play and since the Vipers are running the same offensive and defensive sets, it will only help.

Regarding the roster, and keeping players sharp.

How can you play 12 ...TWELVE players, because all 12 of the top players are arguably rotational players.

    Brooks
    Martin
    Yao
    Scola
    Battier
    Lowry
    Lee
    Miller
    Hayes
    Budinger
    Hill
    Jeffries

That is 12....players that can play......Who gets left out?

Unreal depth, and a nightmare to juggle for a coach....barring injuries.

I would like to give JJ's playtime to PPT. JJ is an expiring contract, it is not very meaningful to play him. The rockets need to develop young player. PPT is a lottery pick, and worth real nba playtime to develop.

I want JJ to succeed as a Rock or succeed as a desirable expiring from successful and meaningful playing time.

CBud has never played for the vippers. He was developed on real nba court. Landry was also developed by playing nba games. Brooks only played for the vippers 1 or 2 games. His development was also because of real nba games. Dorsey, Taylor, & Harris have played for the vippers a lot. I don't think they have been developed a lot.

PPT is a lottey pick. The rockets need to give him real nba playtime to develop.

    ABC,

All with different situations and needs by the team.

Pat Pat is 5th on the depth chart at PF.

    Scola
    Hayes
    Hill
    Jeffries

    DD,

PPT may be the no.5 PF right now. But, he is a lottery pick, and has potential be better than all of them. He is a young asset. The rockets need to give him real nba playing time to develop.

I totally agree, but right now it is just not available, maybe if the Rox make a trade or have injuries than sure.

Right now though, rather than let him rot on the bench, I would rather him be getting PT in Rio Grande, wouldn't you?

I would give him JJ's playing time.

Can't say I know which is better in his case, D league p/t or learning from the vets in practice.

No way, we need to play JJ some to keep his trade value up a bit......and his D is really good.

Maybe up and down some during the season, but they hardly practice at all during the regular season, mostly just shoot arounds.

Patrick is going to be in the DL some, practice can't substitute game time action, even if it's DL action.

We're not gonna play JJ that much anyways. PPT playing 32 minutes down in the valley is better than playing 2 minutes a game.
