Don't know why he would at this point. People were talking about it like he would buy into Magic's vision for the future and that they could build a team around him. But Paul George re-signed with the Thunder. Kawai isn't getting traded there. If the Lakers would be able to add pieces around Lebron, it's not going to be this year. Lebron is 33 and will turn 34 during the season. Going to the Lakers this year would be a waste of a season and all on the promise that they'll be able to add Kawai and somebody else next year. So why go this year? Better to just re-up with Cleveland this year, stay in the East with an easier path to the finals, and see if things can line up in LA next offeseason.

 

I think Lebron is going to 76ers where Kawhi will also be traded to. Brett Brown has the Spurs connection having worked over 10 years with Pops.

A lineup of Lebron, Kawhi, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid is crazy.
