I am going to wait til they give him a contract, then, surely, one of us can come up with something. I really want this kid to stay.
Lil Hayes or Lil H will suffice as well. Frankly I am ashamed that a huge UK Wildcats fan like me doubted lil Hayes ability to succeed at the next level. Maybe it was because he did not take his team to the final 4 or win it all - and of course his size. But every one of those words in the quotes in one of the initial posts in this thread are all spot on. But the most telling part is that of him being a winner. I may sound like a broken record in a few weeks or months or years down the road about this intangible factor. As a coach myself (not basketball), this is one of the biggest dilema out there. There are certain players that just makes you win but you may not be able to explain it much. I am now convinced that much of the reason we swept through the summer league is Lil Hayes. This guy is a winner and his impact goes beyond the stat sheets. But I still believe things did not click for him to take it to the next level until he went down to the NBDL. I still believe he was shocked to go undrafted after a stella career. He is our gain now.
