i don't know rbs are a dime a doze, however they have a better shot at being successful, however they don't have long shelf lives, etc, etc.

I'm not really sure where I stand on the question, but something tells me some of those votes aren't so much because fans think Newton will be a bust, but votes for hoping he's a bust.

The odds are in Ingram's favor just by virtue of the teams that drafted them.

I hope they are both successful. QB has a very high rate of failure, while Ingram could be a bust and still have a career as a backup.

I remember hearing that Cam Newton was Russell 2.0.

That couldn't be further from the truth. Cam is a physical specimen.

He's not as lazy as Russell. I actually think could be similar to say Jason Campbell, but with a much stronger arm.

I think the obvious Cam Newton comparison is Vince.

Poor mechanics, not very accurate, got by on his athleticism too much in College to be able to develop into a true pocket presence. Something that Michael Vick apparently just learned last season.

I guess nobody would know better than you if Cam were shaping up to be JaMarcatard 2.0 ;)

Probably shouldn't use "shaping up" and that name in the same sentence.

    back question.

how is a #28 pick being compared to a #1 pick even close in bust potential?

Is a #28 pick is a starter for a couple years and a rotational guy for a fwe more, then it's hard to call him a bust.

the same for a #1 guy (especially a QB) then he is certainly a bust.

I think Ingram will have a solid pro career. Plus it doesn't hurt that he is going to a good team.

Cam. Obviously you can't question his athleticism and potential but he does have a lot to work on. I'm just not sure how he's going to turn out. So much like VY, but hopefully he's actually willing to work and try to become better. It would be exciting to see an athlete like Cam develop into a quality QB, simply because it's fun to watch guys like that.

There are so many factors(position, health, development, etc.) that go into how good a player will be in the NFL.

The percentages say Ingram will have the better career....But, Cam has the upside at THE position. Whether that potential is realized is another matter and a long road to hoe.
