Mike McCarthy is Bill O'Brien Part 2 neatly wrapped up with a bowtie for the Cowboys to fail for another decade. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving franchise and fanbase.
They may not have seen eye-to-eye, but that could easily be on Rodgers. They had a ton of success and he coached a #24 pick into arguably on the the best QB in history (who knows what happens with a different coach). I think if you're Dallas and you've invested so much money on offense, McCarthy seems like a no-brainer choice to me if you want a reasonably proven guy. Pair him with Wade as DC for a year, and they could be really good next year.
Crazy money for a guy that coached at Temple 4 seasons ago and only one winning regular season at Baylor. For the record, I think he's a hell of a coach.
When driving back to work from court on the radio they said that he actually called the Giants before signing with Carolina and told them if they wanted him, to talk him out of getting on the plane to Carolina and top the offer before he hung up the phone.
#ABC haha...I was thinking he would interview, but not get it...I've been reading more of how he's embraced Analytics, etc. With a solid roster, in a very weak division with two of the teams rebuilding, the Cowboys should win the division easily next year. I also read that the want Moore to stay on as the OC...And they are, however, in desperate need of a secondary... Yeah, my buddy is a huge Giants fan and it's the end of the world over there lol...They to top it all of, they're hearing Jason Garrett is in the running for the OC position haha
I guess at this point we can officially call The Rooney Rule a complete failure . . . .as it was stated to do but A success in that it kept people off their ass as intended without them actually changing much of anything Rocket River
