Noooooooo! Actually, it does make a lot of sense. Gives teams more time to sign free agents and know better of what they want to do in the draft.

They don't need more draft coverage. They want more focus on Combine / FA to fill the February - April void.
There is a point of oversaturation. I love NFL football...and I still feel like this is way too much.
I'm not a huge NFL fan, but I do like the game and I like watching it. This draft thing makes so little sense because so many stars, and so many roster spots in general, come from undrafted people. Far more than in baseball or basketball. It's just bizarre, like a spectacle for the sake of spectacle.
I hear they're going to pull a Breaking Bad/Walking Dead and have a midseason finale 8 games in. We'll have to wait 4 months between the first half and second half of the season. $
Baseball has like 50 rounds, and I would say the baseball draft is more unpredictable than then NBA and NFL draft. Why don't think just make it like a month long thing where every team picks one guy per day.
3 day draft over multiple locations - oh yeahs. Imagine the excitement for rounds 5 6 and 7 when it comes to your city on Day 3! Why, Ma and Pa said we could go into town and eat all the cotton candy and popping corn we want and watch the NFL draft late and middle rounds all night long, and there's gonna be Lions and Bears and Cowboys - ain't it gonna be grand, Scooter, just grand!!!

IMO, they should move it back to April. I actually got sick and tired of NFL talk leading up to the draft this year and it was partly due to pushing it back 2-3 weeks.
MLB has their draft in the middle of the season. The NBA has theirs a week after the finals, but the NFL needs 5 months to prepare for the draft. I love football but I am sick of the draft talk by the 3 day after the season is over.
This year's lead-up to the NFL draft was made completely insufferable by the Teddy Bridgewater fanboys. Unbelievably bad. Please move the draft WAY earlier.
