This has to be the toughest streach of the year. Yikes.
I hate that we are playing the Mavs Yao-less... I don't want to make predictions, but this stretch is definitely scary.
Wednesday, Jan 10 8:30 p.m. Lakers we win Friday, Jan 12 10:30 p.m. @Nuggets we win Saturday, Jan 13 10:00 p.m. @Kings we win Tuesday, Jan 16 8:30 p.m. @Mavericks we lose Wednesday, Jan 17 8:30 p.m. Suns we lose Saturday, Jan 20 8:30 p.m. Nuggets we win Wednesday, Jan 24 9:00 p.m. @Spurs we lose 4-3 good enough!
pretty generous...i think we'll lose instead to the kings on the second half of a back to back. possibly to the lakers also, they've started playing well again. 2-5 is realistic, 3-4 would be good, 4-3.....amazing. lets go 7-0!
After the Rockets go undefeated in the 7-game stretch, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that Tracy McGrady is the league's 2007 MVP.
Damn.. First, @Dallas then hosting the Suns at home, back-to-back will be tough.. If we don't win the Mavs game(in a blow out) and rest our starters, Our players will be spent by the time we play the Suns

As long as that one win is against the Mavs, I'll be happy. Beating the Kings shouldn't be that tough either
3-4. None of them has post presence except for the Spurs. It is going to be shoot-outs except against the Spurs. So the Rox split for the first 6 games but lose to the Spurs due to the presence of Duncan in the post.
So far this season, Rockets' home stand is 13:3. So I say we take the three home games and @Kings -- 4:3

I've been wrong before, and I hope I'm wrong again.
we'll beat the Kings and one game against the Nuggets. I don't mind losing as long as they put some energy out there.

We should definitely win at least 3 games. They've gotta beat the Fakers tomorrow. Then split the Denver/Sacramento back-to-back. Then beat the Nuggets at home since Carmelo won't be back yet. Anything better than that and I'll be eccstatic.
I think the key will be Rafer. If we go over .500 during this stretch he is going to have to either shoot better or take fewer shots. I'm no Rafer-Hater and for much of the season I've cut him a lot of slack because he often seemed to be taking shots when no one else wanted to pull the trigger. I gave him credit for at least having the nads to shoot the ball. But last night, that wasn't the case. Other people (Tracy in particular) were willing to shoot and Rafer kept throwing up bricks. If he keeps this up during the next 7 games, he'll quickly shoot us out of the game and we will be lucky to go 2-5.
I don't want to even think about that schedule: brutal. A winning record during the period would be proof positive that "big things" are possible this season. What will 0-7 mean? I hope we don't have to answer that one. TMac's torrid pace must continue or things could get ugly.
