LOL. So here, you have a President and his staff doing it - and 22 million confirmed emails lost. Compared to a Secretary of State, no staff, and no confirmed emails lost. Sudden outrage, indeed.

The Bush White House email controversy surfaced in 2007 during the controversy involving the dismissal of eight U.S. attorneys. Congressional requests for administration documents while investigating the dismissals of the U.S. attorneys required the Bush administration to reveal that not all internal White House emails were available, because they were sent via a non-government domain hosted on an email server not controlled by the federal government. Conducting governmental business in this manner is a possible violation of the Presidential Records Act of 1978, and the Hatch Act.[1] Over 5 million emails may have been lost or deleted.[2][3] Greg Palast claims to have come up with 500 of the Karl Rove lost emails, leading to damaging allegations.[4] In 2009, it was announced that as many as 22 million emails may have been deleted.[5]

The administration officials had been using a private Internet domain, called gwb43.com, owned by and hosted on an email server run by the Republican National Committee,[6] for various communications of unknown content or purpose. The domain name is an acronym standing for "George W. Bush, 43rd" President of the United States. The server came public when it was discovered that J. Scott Jennings, the White House's deputy director of political affairs, was using a gwb43.com email address to discuss the firing of the U.S. attorney for Arkansas.[7] Communications by federal employees were also found on georgewbush.com (registered to "Bush-Cheney '04, Inc."[8]) and rnchq.org (registered to "Republican National Committee"[9]), but, unlike these two servers, gwb43.com has no Web server connected to it — it is used only for email.[10]

LOL I still find it funny that some people think she has a chance. She won't even win the nomination.

It sounds like Hillary is guilty of not following state department guidelines like others before her have done. It sounds like she is not guilty of breaking the law in this case.

This scandal is indeed a scandal, if for no other reason than this practice greatly puts state secrets at risk. It's also a major story in that this Administration promised transparency and has delivered anything but.

But this story emerged for one reason, and for one reason only: to protect Obama's Iran deal, and therefore his vanity. This timing publication of this rather old story is the key, as is the fact that it came out in the New York Times, a source quite sympathetic to liberal causes. This story was planted by the Obama team. Many Democratic members of Congress want any key terms of the Iran deal to be approved by Congress. Hillary is a key player in this discussion, and Obama feared that she would come out in favor of this position. Doing so would be a devastating blow to Obama's ability to negotiate a deal. So Obama turns to the tried and true strategy of attacking a potential threat, and taking her out of the picture in the near term while she defends the scandal. This is a window inside how politics really happens -- it's dirty and it's ugly.

This is a serious issue, but if it won't be something that derails her campaign for being POTUS.

I gotta say this looks pretty bad.

I work for a major bank where of course we have our own work email accounts. Just the rules WE have to follow concerning work email's and accessing our personal stuff at work is VERY STRICT. And I'm not the Secretary of State.

Either HRC is stupid beyond belief OR she knew this was a serious breach of security protocol and did it anyways. Either way, this isn't going away and speaks poorly of her intelligence and irresponsibility.

When the voters start to understand this, )especially swing voters) she's not gonna be able to avoid having to deal with it. And no matter how she spins it, its an incredibly reckless thing she and her people did.

She knowingly and willfully exposed high level State Dept. communications to foreign intelligence services.

In a sane world, that would disqualify her from ever holding public office.

No.... No you do not have an inside window of how politics works. You are a mere laymen with an over conflated view of your "knowledge".

I don't know, I doubt most swing voters will care all that much.

The truth does not matter anymore for those who would see Hillary destroyed.
