12:41:53 È.Ù Tehran, July 31 - Veteran Lebanese brigadier general dubbed the haunted Abu-Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of the suspicious Al-Qaeda group, a renegade and a US stooge. The former Lebanese army commander, Yassin Soayed, frowned at linking the Jordanian national to Sunni Muslims, saying that 'Zarqawi is an American mercenary, rather than a resistance advocate, because Iraqi police and civilians are the only targets he aims at'. "As London and Sharm al-Sheikh blasts were carried out to paint a dark picture of Islam, Zarqawi's operations follow the same goal", said Soayed. Soayed blamed Washington for sewing discord in Iraq and Lebanon and referred to Zarqawi as handler of US separatist policies made to fuel skirmishes among followers of various Islamic sects. 'However, Iraqis are vigilant against the conspiracies', said Soayed. 'Sunni Muslims refused to boycott Iraq constitution build-up after three Sunni members working on Iraq constitution were killed last week'. Lebanon's former ranking military also took onslaught on Israeli regime's security system Mossad, and said before Iraq invasion in 2003, the United States planned more to ensure Israeli interests than dethroning Saddam Hussein. Iraq's powerful army was seen as a potential threat to Israel, an army which was shattered after Saddam ouster, thus preparing the way for Mossad agents which has so far infiltrated into most Iraqi organizations. Fanning the separatist flames of Kurdish population in north and inciting them for setting up an independent federation aare among other instance of the Israeli agents' plots which would end up in a crisis in Mideast region, said Soayed. Former Lebanese army official said at least a 50-year time is needed to establish peace and security in Iraq. Conspiracy theories are popular in that part of the world; few are true, most are ludicrous. It's true there are Mossad in Iraq, American journalists themselves reported seeing Israeli agents taking part in the interrogation of some Iraqi prisoners, and confirmed their presence in the northern Kurdish region of the country. But that shouldn't surprise anyone. There are also Iranian agents throughout Iraq as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if other intelligence agencies are operating there. Iraq is the Middle East's version of the "Wild Wild West", where anarchy rules and anything goes. Everyone is lining up to secure their own stakes in such a strategically important part of the world. It's certainly not in the interest of the U.S. to see Iraq divided into secterian provinces, because that would mean that ensuing conflict would follow when Turkey interferes to prevent the Kurds from having their own state, the Jordanians and Saudis and Egyptians and about everyone else would interfere to keep the country intact and possibly even return the Sunni leadership to power, and the Iranians would just annex the southern part of Iraq, meaning that the Mullahs would be sitting on even more oil than they ever thought, exponentially increasing their power and influence in the region, and giving them common borders with the Saudis and the Kuwaitis. In short, it's almost unimaginable that the American leadership is this stupid.
