More like, Asik faints and Paul aren't even sweating. Superstars aren't gonna worry. To borrow Kobe's famous words, "They aren't gonna call that ****."
i thought they stopped fining people about month into the season, interesting they have now jacked it up

Time has come to redefine Techs and flagrant fouls... Techs for me are unsportsmanlike conduct that is exhibited during the course of a game. This should include flopping, cheap shots(elbows to the face, knees to the groin, pulling down another player), cursing, taunting and fighting. It is time to have a more severe weight/punishments in the playoffs for people that forget how to play emotionally controlled basketball and resort to playing bad basketball. At the beginning of each playoff series, each player should be allowed a max of 3 techs during the course of the series. Once the 4th tech is received, the player will be ejected for the remainder of the game or suspended for one game plus 10,000 fine. On the 5th tech->25,000 fine and no suspension, and 6th or more: game suspensions and 50,000 fines. Certain Technical fouls are subject to retroactive review: such as flopping, cheap shots, and fighting. Its time to clean up the game. Technical fouls in crucial game situations can alter the course of the game.
Probably not, since the refs didn't fall for it, that particular time. I'm not sure that they have fined for flopping in an instance when it didn't fool the ref. While the flopping can be so obvious that the refs begin not to buy it out of habit, there still is value in the Heat approach, as best practiced by the lead volume-flopper, Shane Battier, winner of the 2013 Vlade Divac trophy for flopping. Shane dives to the court at least 10 times a game. If only one or two of them gets called and thus you send David West to the bench even one minute earlier, is that not worth it? Of course it is. The fine of 5K or 10K is chump change. For Wade's part, he's on record as saying that without flopping, "there would be no NBA" Seriously! http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/201...ames-says-not-flopper-sees-advantage-flopping
James: "Guys have been accustomed to doing it for years, and it's not even a bad thing. You're just trying to get the advantage. Any way you can get the advantage over an opponent to help your team win, then so be it." Wade: "It happens, but we would have no NBA possibly if they got rid of all the flopping." Battier: "It's part of the game." _____________________________ Flopping is not a bad thing that is part of the game, and without it, there is no NBA. You heard it first from the Miami floppers Heat!
The refs did buy the flop on Tony Allen: http://nba.si.com/2013/05/24/tony-allen-fined-flop-playoffs-memphis-grizzlies-san-antonio-spurs/
How sad, this is why the real fans will always appreciate the golden days of the NBA where titles had to be earned and little help was given. Of course, Olajuwon, MJ, Magic and them got their share of star calls but today is a different ball game. Lebron can win even 7 titles, win more than 33 in a row with the Heat, he will never be seen in the same light because of everything that's been happening in this era.
I just don't understand this logic. A flop's a flop whether the refs fell for it or not. I agree that an automatic suspension would greatly deter flopping, especially in the playoffs. Just like leaving the bench in a fight.
