There won't be a whole lot of GM's lining up to court Thibs.... because Thibs wants the power reserved for GM's.

As much as Monty was incompetent, their GM is also. They have major roster issues... Asik being one of the main ones.

Shocked to see this. But tons of great coaches out there at the moment.

So much for job security if he made the playoffs

Say what you will about his coaching, but I've always had the impression that Monty is a helluva human being.

Pairing Thibs with Davis would be sick, his roster overhaul would turn them into a defensive juggernaut in a few years.

Wow. Didn't they say that both the coach and the GM are safe since the y made the POs?

Davis loves Monty and so does Rhyno.
Anyway the GM has to go as well, one of the worst in the league. But the owner I think is also senile..so who makes the decisions for the franchise?

That name is perfect for New Orleans, and the Cajuns already know how to pronounce it.

fwiw: Monty Williams and Thibs were assistants last summer for Coach K on the World Cup team...coaching A Davis and Harden

Pelicans owner has more guts than Les Alexander.

McFail should have been fired last year.

Les also fired JVG and Adelman. How'd that work out for you?

Makes the playoffs and gets fired...That is a ballsy Owner(who owns the Saints as well btw) who gets it!!! Coaching must maximize talent inorder to be competitive in the postseason. Great move by the organization...and if Thibs is on the market...gosh New Orleans would be a great spot!

Again, Les fired three playoff coaches as well. Rudy, JVG and Adelman. How does that fit into your theory of owners "who get it!!!"
