Yeah, I'd rather do that from a monetary stand point too. TMAC's and VC's salaries are roughly the same. If we traded Ron, we'd probably have to give them another roughly $7M in salaries.

But I don't think NJ would be too interested in Tracy at this point.

I would do this trade very easily. Vince is better than Mac

You know... maybe having a really close friend on the team helps him out. We know Tmac + Yao has worked before. Artest, while not as big of a cancer potentially, is still shooting 37% from the field. Which, for Artest is pretty bad.

And honestly, with something like that. I'd welcome a trade like this just for SOMETHING to get done. This deal obviously wouldn't make our team worse, seeing as both Artest AND Tmac are playing bad.

Carter would start over Battier, no question...
I like the deal. I am comfortable with Carter. But man, our defense will be even worse with a Carter/McGrady swing duo. Van Gundy will be rolling in his grave.

Tmac left Toronto cause he didn't want to share the spotlight with Vince Carter.

    LOL!

I didnt know he was dead...

Why do yall act like Artest has been amazing?

NEWS FLASH...going for steals and letting your man run right by you does not equal solid defense. Have yall been watching Artest this season?

What does that have to do with anything considering the trade being discussed is Ron for Vince.

If McGrady puts his mind set into defense, where I can see happening, then we wont be as bad. We just need to work on teamwork while playing D.

Might be able to find half a heart between McGrady and Carter.....as long as they are not in the pressure cooker.
