[New HBO Comedy Series] Eastbound and Down

Looks funny. They did a great job of making McBride look like the guy that you see in the walmart checkout line

when I first heard of it I thought it was some sort of special on Smokey and the Bandit.

i watched the 1st episode for this probably 9 months ago looked great. thought they decided not to make it, great news.

 

First time I saw the commercial I thought it was a new movie.

Will have to set the DVR for this.

season finale was last night

the show started a bit slow but it picked up as the season progressed.

i enjoyed the show i hope that HBO picks it up for another season.

and being able to see Katy Mixon boobies last night was a huge +

That show is *****n great! One of the best news shows on TV. Hope they get another season

 

A good friend of mine bribed me with libations and made me sit through the first 5 episodes. It's humor is all over the place and a lot of it borders on lame, IMO, but went it scores, it is just hilarious! Worth watching. Just don't do it with a significant other who happens to be an ardent supporter of women's rights.

 

Most likely "stunt boobs". They never showed her face.

Didn't really like the show, I watched every episode and I just couldn't get into it.

 

I thought the pilot was the best episode.

If HBO decides to pick up the show for another season, they should have him sign on with a Single A team. Watching him cuss, do coke, and hang out with that blonde girl in his hometown can only be funny for so long.

Let's see how he reacts when some young 18 year old shows him up or something in the minors. They just need to put him in some new and different situations.

 

I agree. I think this show would benefit from hour-long episodes, also. I would rather it be less of a sitcom and more of a comedy that has a great story.

I think this show is hilarious. Not only that, but it actually does get pretty serious at some points. HBO does it again with another good series.

 

I've also been watching it from the start, I love the idiot Kenny Powers "assistant" guy.. I don't know if I'll watch it next season or not, my guess is HBO will give it a second season.. To me it's an okay show, my problem with it was too many times during the season I ended up wanting Kenny to fail, I like most of my comedies main characters to have some redeeming qualities..
