It's way too early for that right now - just look at how much the race has changed in the last 8 days. We have no idea what this will look like after Super Tuesday, but at some point, the field will start narrowing really quickly. More than 60% of the delegates will still be available after Super Tuesday, so there's plenty of time for someone to cobble together a majority. One of the big complaints in the past by late voting states is their votes didn't ever matter - for once, it just might. It could be a good thing for the campaigns to be building infrastructure and volunteers and all that in the latter states.
It's pretty funny/weird that Bernie seems to be the candidate of the young people, and Pete seems to be the candidate of older people.
Well if you insist, then blame the party for not grooming more fresh and exciting candidates. DNC had 4 years to prepare and the best it could do was push Biden as the frontrunner. What happened to the idea of a Tom Daschle mentoring a young Obama to national candidacy? Where is that in this party today? I only see Sanders doing that with AOC within their wing of the party. Sure, I get you hate Bernie, but 30% of the party supports his ideology and it's only going to grow in the coming years. What was Bernie suppose to do, not run when there is a clear opening for him after 40 years in public office? This is what happens when you have 30 year dynasties of Clinton-Gore-Hillary and Obama-Biden come to an end. The party was woefully unprepared. It took the left wing for granted for far too long, and Sanders is now cashing in on this opportunity.
Obviously he's never going to win older voters but I guess I meant just reduce the rate at which he is hemorrhaging older voters. He doesn't need to win them, just buffer the losses enough so that the young voters can extend the lead.
Nevada and South Carolina is going to be really interesting. These two states Amy/Pete are legitimately polling very low. Biden is leading, and Bernie is doing well, Bloomberg enters the race. Will Biden bounce back? Will Bernie step up as Biden free falls? Will Pete/Amy carry momentum or will they die off on spot? How will Bloomberg do?
A big part of the problem was 2010, 2014, and 2016 wiped out a lot of the up and coming Dems that would have been the "next generation".
I guess you haven't been paying attention or you are just dumb ... which is it ? I've been supporting Klobuchar for months.
Policy matters. Bernie's campaign is built upon the oldest trick in the book - Free **** and OPM - Other people's money.
I agree. I also wish someone who isn't one of the current top 5 candidates, or six if you toss in Bloomberg, would come out of the woodwork and grab the nomination. Someone between young and middle aged who's exciting and could galvanize the electorate. Right now, I don't see anyone. I've made it clear that I like Pete, but I would be shocked if he got the nomination, and if he did, then the bigoted, ruthless, extremist liar that is trump would run a campaign ugly beyond belief. He will anyway, but toss in Pete's sexual orientation as something else trump would attempt to exploit as he swims in mud. I find Klobuchar unexciting, as well as boring. Maybe she'll "find her voice," I don't know. At least she's moderate enough to appeal to the large "middle" of the electorate that find Bernie too extreme, too "socialist." Warren has tied herself to Bernie's agenda so closely that I fear she would put off the same huge pool of moderates needed in the general to win. Biden has never been a good campaigner, except in Delaware. He's proven that he's the same Joe he's always been. I think he would be a decent enough president, but I have serious doubts that he'll win the nomination, and like Bernie, he's in his late 70's. Bloomberg has a lot of baggage that's coming out, and he waited incredibly late to enter the race. I think he'd also be a decent president, but it's disturbing that his main plus as a candidate, from where I sit, are his incredibly deep pockets. I'll admit that that's a mighty big plus. Is there anyone else out there?
I dunno about that faction growing .... generally , we're much more liberal when we are younger and move closer to conservatism as we age - I don't see that changing a whole hell of a lot even with this generation. These people voting for Bernie on the college debt issue - and that's a substantial percentage of them - today they are thinking only of themselves and don't give a damn who pays for it. Eventually , they'll be the group paying for whatever free stuff is being offered down the road and they wont like it. It's kinda like us complaining about Ferntits being cheap - I do it all the time. But its easy to spend other people's money , things change when its your money being spent.
You read what you want to read , not the facts .... and the fact is that I have supported Klobuchar pretty much from the beginning.
You seem to defend Trump - to a point it seems incredulous that you'd vote for a democrat. Forgive me for not trusting that your claimed support for Klobuchar is genuine.
Then why do you do it? In fact you just did it a few minutes ago: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...their-2020-bids.295371/page-130#post-12853796
