There's nothing Blake Griffin can do to appease everyone. First he comes into the league and totally dominates throwing down dunks on everyone and he gets criticism that he can only dunk. Now that he's getting to become an effective outside shooter, he's become a soft PF? The truth is, the numbers he put up his rookie season were sick because he caught the league off guard. After players started pushing him around a bit inside, he had to re-adjust so people think he regressed in year two. But he has improved quite a bit every year since year two after the league has adjusted to his game and he has likewise adjusted to the league.
I never say he didn't appease me before. I liked when he was a beast to the rim. He's not the type of player that can rely solely on jumpers. In OP's video he never even attacked the rim once.
I think he shot mostly from outside yesterday because he was working on that part of his game this off-season and pre-season is essentially practice. I'm sure he's pretty confident he can throw down a dunk whenever he wants so he doesn't really need to work as much on it. I do think he has some work he needs to do on his post game still as well. But to Clippers and/or Griffin fans, it is positive that he's one to work on improving weaknesses in his game.
Yes, he has improved his post move last season, which surprised me. Now with the range he seems to have developed, he will be one of the best offensive players in the league.

he doesnt have the footwork yet, but if he studies more of carmelo anthony's game combined with his existing skills, he may elevate himself to that bron / durant tier
Blake looks decent, but he'll just be an after-thought in LA thanks to the true dominant force: Jeremy Lin. I almost feel bad for him - to be stuck in the shadow of such a player, no matter how much work he puts in.
Dude has improved more than I thought he would. Credit to him and his work ethic. I see him taking over CP3 as the Clippers best player.
It's just one game but if Blake can display this sort of shooting consistency then the Clippers are definitely a team to reckon with.
I seen Howard stop him. Unfortunately Jordan then would go off. Be nice to get a PF that would take care of that problem.
tbh, if hes jump shooting (ala chris bosh), he will not be the beast on boards anymore, and will be much easier to contain.... m2c
Shooting threes and long range fadeaways, that's crazy! Good for him. If only he wasn't such a pantsy and a dick everytime he dunks, the love for him would increase by 1000%
Wow. Blake has really improved that shooting stroke of his, looks so pure compared to how he used to shoot it. He still releases the ball slightly on the way down, but that stroke looks so much cleaner.
Honestly not sure why people are suprised, Griffin has amazing amounts of hype since he got drafted so it's really nice to see him not resting on his laurels and putting in the work. Unfortunately with Griffin the problem is his health, his crazy ass athleticism is both a blessing and a curse as it allows him to do amazing stuff but it seems his body can't withstand it. Having improved shooting will do lots to lessen the beating he gets and hopefully prolong his career, however it's still alarming to think he already has had several major injuries despite still being so young. Hopefully he doesn't become Brandon Roy 2.0.
Couldn't watch any pre-season, can anyone explain to me why Clippers had such a poor record? CP3 and Griffin had good numbers, is the rest of the team that bad right now?
Scoring the basketball doesn't impress me that much. Can you play defense, can you bang on the boards in the fourth quarter after a grueling game to get a rebound, can you not foul out of a basketball game. Griffin, along with most of the clippers, can play great when there is no adversity. However, when adversity sets in, it's basically chris paul out there by himself.
