I think Les Will Name somebody pretty quick. To give whoever a chance to work on the draft with Carrol Dawson plus give them a chance to get to know the players and there work out habits throughout the summer. I think within a months time at the most we will have a new coach.
Normally I would agree... having a coach in place *before* the draft is very important (gives the coach input into the decision). This time thought its less critical. The player they select with the 40th pick is probably not even going to stick on the roster, let alone make a dent into the rotation. Doubt the new coach will worry if its "one of *his* guys" or not. What I think may be a bigger factor in making a fast selection if JVG's the first choice... though even that might make sense to wait if there is some later date when he is freed up from the Knicks. But getting the right coach is more important than rushing the decision, as long as the "right" coach isn't snapped up by CLE or some other team...
