**** or get off the pot.

Trump Camp Refuses to Close Door on Campaign Pledge to ‘Lock Her Up’

I'd rather take the high ground and think of solutions rather than ruminating on the thoughts of sore losers, but this isn't my thread.

Not an assumption, such things are tracked by fact checkers.... those pesky facts are inconvenient.

    It wasn't even close.

Well.... It was hard to get you back track from your "Hillary was the most corrupt politician ever" claim so your track record of honesty isn't so good.

Now why was Woodrow Wilson number 2? Flex those history muscles for me sugar.

It's her fault and I think even most dems would see that.

You want to have your own private server because you don't want to carry 2 phones? That is the biggest crock of a reason I've ever heard. It doesn't even make technical sense. I have a work phone tied to my work email (and other work business)....you know what else I can do? Check my personal email on it. Make personal phone calls. Heck I even make all personal texts (which I know they track) but I don't care as I'm not out there sexting like an idiot. She wanted her one private server so she could do anything she wanted and not be tracked/traced or recorded by anyone in the government because she thought she was above the law.

She always be a Clinton and IMO the worst Clinton.

Agreed, as I've said before. Let's move away from her, since she's largely irrelevant now. The most important thing, honestly, is seeing if Trump can be a uniter after an incredibly vitriolic campaign. Will he appoint "the best people," as he claims? Will he make a public statement, meanwhile, about the 200+ hate crimes documented (though not even whispered on Fox News) in the country already and the North Carolina KKK "victory" march? That would be an awesome and gracious thing to do.

Thank you for admitting his treatment of women. His own statements in the campaign (to say nothing of his former radio interviews, tweets, Ms. Universe behavior, or the allegations of many women) do show a misogynistic tendency, to say the least. Women who have survived sexual assault were, in many cases, kind of re-traumatized to hear his groping comments and then win election. So that's tough for a lot of people.

Racist? Bigot? Xenophobic? I'll offer you the perspective of many. While some will never hear the comments about a Latino judge to be over the line or indicative of flawed judgment or skewed moral compass, I thought those comments were over the line, as were the comments about Mexico "not sending its best". That was clearly trying to scapegoat a large number of people, by their national origin most of whom are amazing Americans, and even in the case of illegals, do a lot of work that most of us don't want to do. And his association with anti-Semites is just outright bizarre. Why do that? Why run a final ad with so many dog whistles about Jews being evil monetary conspirators against America? Totally bizarre. I don't think Trump asked for that, but he let Mr. Breitbart guy run that as in his name, all the same. Troubling, at least it is to all my Jewish friends. They were horrified.

To me, honestly, I think his whole pursuit of the birther thing shows something about him and his attitudes on race. Maybe he would have gone on that crazy crusade for a white president with links, say, to Norway or something, but I really doubt it. It's uncomfortable for me to just give him a pass on the birther thing -- it shows a lack of objective outlook and strongly hints at a perhaps unconscious racial bias.

Finally, for those who've said things like "he's never lied to Congress," actually, by the facts, he has lied under oath to Congress and many more times under oath. The reporting of Eichenwald, who has covered Trump for 30 years, has irrefutably documented Trump's history of lying, under oath and otherwise.

(have to get through the first half about the gun comments)
"That’s why anyone considering voting for Trump should read some of the depositions he has given over the years. Remember, this was testimony under oath. Either he consistently lies when under oath or his inability to recognize the truth is a symptom of a psychiatric disorder. I described in my previous letter to you how Trump lied in testimony before Congress. He explicitly stated he had held no discussions with anyone associated with Indian casinos about doing business with them...and then a congressman produced an affidavit, telephone records and letters proving that was a lie."

We can choose to ignore it, we can dismiss things that are ugly as liberal flimflam, but the facts will remain. I can only hope the president elect can leave all of that behind.

Cheers, Space Ghost. I agree that we have more in common with each other, ultimately, that we do with these elites who actually run everything.

I'll be signing off the BBS for a while, but I really want to preach looking at facts. I also would encourage all my conservative friends to spend *some* energy holding your newly very powerful party to high standards. They truly have the reigns. There will be media forces, like Fox, that will focus you on vilifying the minority party and liberals as enemies of the state, but that's an old historical playbook for the powerful. It will not help push the country forward, in my humble opinion.
