Agreed, Scott has the right to give his player praise. Though, Duncan is clearly the MVP........and we all saw the Spurs without Duncan. Honestly.....do they even win more games than the Rockets??? And Robinson isn't NEARLY the player he was......age has caught up with him. S. Smith, A. Daniels, T. Parker, D. Robinson, M. Rose, M. Bryant, D. Ferry???

I'd say Kittles is better than Bowen in respect to his all-around game and in stealing the ball....he may have been robbed of some quickness over his operations, but he's definately more of a complete player than Bowen...and in my view, the player I'd rather have on my team on both ends of the court.
Usually the MVP is reserved for the best player on the NBA's best team record wise. Not always the case; but most of the time. The team with the best record was Sacramento but you can't really give it to any one person on that team because they all take away from each others numbers. If Webber were the main focus, he could average 30 and 15. But you have Peja gettin his 22 pts, vlade gettin 10, bibby gettin 12, christie getin 12 their bench scoring too. See not one player stands out on that team. Anyways, The Lakers, Spurs, and Mavs were all right there behind. You can't give it to Shaq because he wasn't as dominate as he usually is and he has won it before. You cant give it to Kobe because he is in Shaq's shadow. You can't give it to Dirk in Dallas because Nash and Finley take away somewhat from him and they get alot of attention as well. Nash sets up Dirk alot. San Antonio is perfect because Duncan is CLEARLY the star and they had the second best record in the league. That is the criteria the voters use. Star numbers and best record. That also eliminates Kidd for the fact that the Nets lost 32 games this year in the East! 32? They were ONLY 10 wins better than the 8th seeded Raptors? Yikes! THey didnt exactly blow away the competition. I can certainly see why Duncan gets the nod over Kidd for MVP.
If this were a player of the year award, rather than the MVP of the year, Kidd would have been lucky to be in the top 5. Payton had just as good a year as him and being the top seed in the east is like winning a break dancing contest in College Station..doesn't mean much in the scheme of things. I'll take Paul Pierce, Dirk Novitski, Shaq and Kobe before Kidd. If well rounded guards who shoot 35% for over-acheiving 50 win teams was the criteria for winning MVP's Fat Lever would have won a few. The Nets have a good collection of talent around him.
