Also, other than Houston, NJ is the one place I would want Howard to go to. Could you imagine Lakers all this time being cocky about getting Howard and CP3 might not get any? Also SAS said on his radio show today that don't be surprised of Kobe demands a trade if Howard or CP3 don't be Lakers.
Uh oh. That might actually be a great move for the Lakers. Heck, if they can, they should trade him FOR Dwight Howard. I'm not saying Kobe's done. Give him the right pieces and he can win another one or two, but I can easily envision the Lakers turning a Kobe trade into their next ticket to domination for the next 15 years. Of course, he probably has a no-trade clause so it isn't that easy. Wonder who the other significant asset is from a third team? As long as he stays in the East. Stay far away from Lakerland or Mav-ville please.
Howard becomes a Net, Deron doesn't go to Dallas, despite all that team's cap-clearing efforts. Yeeeesssssssssss. 4-way deal? It'll fall through.
I wouldn't mind seeing Dwight go to New Jersey either. I just don't see it happening, though. I mean, between the Nets and Magic combined rosters... there are really only 3 guys worth trading young players for. One of them isn't going anywhere (Deron). Dwight would definitely be going to New Jersey in any deal they struck up. The only other player worth giving up some young talent for is Brook Lopez... and I imagine the Magic would want him back in return. So who in their right mind would give up anything worthwhile for the scraps that are left over?
I don't think there's anyone the Rockets want on either the Nets or Orlando (outside of Deron and Howard, of course). A player we want would have to come from the 3rd team.
sign Sam D and add Brook Lopez, and ship out Martin and someone like Chase. And maybe Dragic or Scola if it evens things out. Bam, two bigs, done.
Brook Lopez ~ 20 point-492%, 6 rebounds, 1.5 blocks. 7 feet tall 265 lbs, 23 years old. This team would be ecstatic if we could get him at a fair price. He could also become a better rebounder with coach Mchale teaching him, if we could get him and keep Scola rebounding wouldn't be a problem though.
As long as new orleans and team owner david stern are not part of the talks the deal will proceed accordingly.
Wouldn't mind getting involved in that deal and trading a young player to Orlando in order to get our pick back from New Jersey.
Nice! New Jersey would toss that in no problem if they're getting Howard and Orlando would definitely be looking for cheap, young, and upside this season. Baby steps.
Personally I don't see how we get in on this. The framework of the deal will be Lopez and picks going out of NJ. But I don't see the Magic wanting veteran players if they're not going to have Howard. I'd be happy if the Nets give us back our pick and we send Scola to Orlando(getting back some expiring in return). But I think Orlando wants young players. And I'd rather keep our own promising young guys.
