Netflix is great for watching old series you've never seen.

Do you know if those instant movies are captioned through Roku box? For instant movies online, I only watch foreign movies because they have subtitles.

I bought my mom a Roku last year for Christmas. It's pretty cool where you can access your Instant Queue and watch from there. Definitely good of you don't have another device like an XBOX 360, PS3 and so on that does the same thing.

Though, I personally would just spend the extra money to get a Samsung Bluray player that lets you do the same thing as well.

I've got a Roku, my mom has one, and my sister has one. It's more than just a Netflix player. I also have an Xbox 360 and use the Roku for Netflix instead.

Roku has added a bunch of channels since I bought mine, some free, and some require a subscription:

It looks like you can watch NBA League Pass through your Roku also. If so, you don't even need cable or satellite TV. I just found out about this yesterday.

Looks like there are 3 versions now, one for $60, $80, and $100.

I canceled my TV service (100) and got the 3 at a time blockbuster and the streaming only plan for netflix. I haven't missed much of the TV at all. Just the sports but i stream that when i can. I like blockbuster because I can go into the store and exchange for a title right away especially during the middle of the week when new releases are more readily available.

Add to that blockbuster has games included into their unlimited rental.

Or a PS3/XBOX. The treasures of Netflix are in instant-streaming. Lately I've been watching classic Jackie Chan kung fu flicks. Endless entertainment. They don't make them like they used to anymore. If you don't have a need for gaming though, get the Roku box. It's cheap and does Netflix plus a bunch of other stuff like Pandora. Really nice.

instant queue leaves more to be desired. i wish there were was a more abundant supply of "popular" movies to watch through instant queue. I really don't want to deal with having to wait to get a dvd.

wish they would add subtitles to all movies. and have a larger selection for instant streaming.

why can't they have all movies available for streaming?

hmm...then they should have an option for a higher monthly plan that includes a larger selection of movies available for streaming.

I've told you to use the PS3 version of Netflix before. They have subtitles for a lot of movies now. Might want to download the app.

    Fine. Guess I will.

Only reason I haven't yet watched Shutter Island on stream is cause no subtitles are available on XBox.
