That was a pretty great sequence.....wife and I watched through episode 8 of the new season.....going to finish it up tonight. I really enjoy the show overall, strong performances and storylines......
Finished season 2. The snells lady is so freaking annoying. Ruth's voice is irritating as hell also. I do like how all the story lines (as annoying as some of them are) in this show somehow connect together.
So I mentioned in this thread when I finished S1 how this is miles away from B.B. S2 really closed that margin! I absolutely think they killed it! I really can’t find much to complain about besides the dumb annoying daughter narrative. Ridiculously good writing and suspense.
There was one scene with Wyatt when she reveals to him that she stole a book for him. He tells her she shouldn't have done that, especially since he got back in school, and how easy it is for her to break the law knowing that her dad will take care of things. Then she starts complaining how hard her life is. I was so annoyed by that. Her parents are doing everything to save their family, keep them together and this dumb idiot is complaining, breaking the law, trying to get emancipated. They don't need that **** right now you moron.
I think S2 was a lot better, especially the pacing. Things moved a lot faster, the payoffs were more frequent. It kept me wanting more. I even teared up at one point. In the end when Wyatt finds out he got into Mizzou, for some reason that really got to me.
This is the filler crap that I find highly annoying. She adds absolutely nothing to the show. I wish the writers would be more creative. Anyone else going to miss Buddy? He was one of my fav. this season.
When I read people complaining about her character here, that was the scene that came to mind. I blame the writers more than the actor.
Yeah, he was great. I felt like he grounded the show. Every other character is over-the-top, crazy and impulsive, he was calm and reasonable.
Her story line seems very unnecessary but my guess is they're building towards something for next season. We didn't really find out what Charlotte told her attorney, or if she's leaving with Wyatt.
I think writers view characters like hers as a necessity. Maybe it’s to remind the viewers that hey whatever is going on in this family’s life isn’t normal or to use that character to show what a realistic reaction is. It is in ways justified that her parents made decisions that are negatively affecting them. Regardless it was annoying and got too much screen time.
She’s a rich teenage girl. Caught up in her dads brilliant criminal mind and some real gangster ****. How not-annoying could she be? The son is no better, nor should they be. They are dumb kids acting out. I love this show. I love the cast. It’s gritty and realistic-ish. Enough anyway. The Snells make me feel genuine anxiety. That’s my only complaint.
Top 3 Netflix original for sure. The second season got a little too wild with so much going on, but the cast was able to pull it all together really well.
When Ruth said “get some!” then kicked the hillbilly ferry dude in the balls, I hollered. Season 1 was better to me but I love the series and can’t wait til season 3.
That last Picture shot was so weird Bateman's head and skinny neck with a weak smile was so crazy looking Next season seems to be all about the women .. . and kind of take over Spoiler The Wife is now Driving Bateman's character Ruth will probably be pissed that Bateman goes against his work Crazy Snell Wife versus everyone Lady Hardcore Lawyer having to come back to the town she hates I almost wonder where Bateman will fit into all this Rocket River
