OK so this is really a horrendous tv show. Not funny, no redeeming value at all. I am a big fan of Ricky/Steve/Karl but this is unwatchable. I realized at this point Ricky is out of ideas. He made a show out of his r****ded character Derek, got called out of making r****ded people into a joke then BS'ed saying the character wasn't r****ded. Threw in a ton of faux feelings and sold it to Netflix. Easily the worst Ricky Gervais product ever and not by a small margin.
I don't know that he's out of ideas but yeah, this show is completely terrible. An Idiot Abroad is pure genius however.
Derek is a character he used a LONG time ago on the radio show to prank call Chris Moyles. It is his go to dumb guy voice. After Derek he did a tour of David Brent because he owned that character.
Really? I didnt think it was the most hilarious show ever but terrible? I thought it was pretty funny. Ricky sometimes has such a dry humor and i thought it came out pretty well in this show. His buddy in 'Idiot 'Abroad' is hilarious as well in this. To each their own, I guess.
If you like nature documentaries, the "Spy" series from BBC is pretty good and has great footage I hadn't seen before. - Spy on the ice: Polar Bears - Spy in the jungle: Tigers - Spy: Trek (Wildebeast) - Another spy film for elephants that was too short Tigers had 3 episodes, Polar bears had 2, all videos are about 45-55 minutes
Karl is great in anything but yeah I thought this was horrible. Karl is only in the first season BTW. Show is often painful.
Haven't watch them all but the ones I have seen were great, the lions and the tigers. Didn't know there were multiple episodes dedicated to the tigers.
Watched Snowpiercer last night. Thought it was pretty good, not great. I watched The Station Agent a while back on Netflix. That was an excellent movie starring Peter Dinklage of GoT.
Highly recommend "Undefeated". One of the best football movies I've seen, which isn't saying much, but a damn compelling documentary, nonetheless.
Wife and I watched Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond doco last night, really interesting behind the scenes stuff.......highly recommend....
