@basketballholic must be upset at the news Noel is a rotation to backend starting center at best.

In before "mavs are colluding to keep his value low in order to resign him cheaper and help their tanking efforts"

Wow, so they're giving him only limited minutes and a garbageman role on offense because he refused to sign the extension? :D Seems fair though, they have no obligation to do anything for a player who will probably bolt the next season.

I started a thread on Noel's "value". My thoughts on him haven't changed. You can read them there.

We will most likely trade Capela at the deadline because we really don't want to pay him big money. We want a 5 man who will shoot the three.

very doubtful bbh. as long as capela is playing the way he is. he isn't going anywhere, especially this year during this run

Most likely traded at deadline or signed and traded next summer. UNLESS........unless he starts shooting the three.

once again well see but the 3 isnt the deciding factor. a rim runner to balance out the floor and roster for that matter is absolutely needed. if nene was younger and reliable every single night, it would make capella more expendable but thats not the case at this point in time.

    Absolutely needed? Yes.
But rim runners are plentiful. We want a rim runner that can pound the three ball too.

    Capela is expendable.

theres big rim runners that shoot the 3 at an elite level? i dont think so. capela is pretty close to untouchable at the moment

There are big men that shoot the three that can run pick and roll. Yes. And some of them are going to be available.

What do you think we're trying to do with Qi? Bro, Qi is the framework type of player we want at the 5, defensively flexible, can rim run, finish, run pick and roll, and step out for the three. He's not ready. But that's the general framework of what we want at the 5. Within a year Qi will be a better player than Capela and we've got him locked up for four years.

Think of the combinations offensively and defensively we could run with a Cousins/Qi tandem at the 5/4 in combination with a third great shooting stretch 4.

Capela is peaking at the right time. I'm getting more excited at the trade possibilities with him.

LMAO! The Cavs don't have a center!

Imagine if Morey did this to Clint. The fix is in. They are trying to torpedo Noel's value. He should have just took the damn money.
