mentioning and posted where? In an interview that was posted in a team website?
Malone is a coach. He is not a player.

Heck Dudley goes around social media mentioning other players all the time and he said Melo is going to the ROckets. No fine no nothing. You can post what you want as a player in your social media account. Now if it's very offensive and you call your colleagues names publicly in your twitter, you may be fined for conduct detrimental to the team or morals of the league like Embiid did.

Rockets are playing the Suns in the summer league and they could be the third team in this deal. Something to think about

The player who got the team in trouble for mentioning Duncan did so in an interview, before this social media stuff.

Anything in the press or social media they are not going to like...of course, the other team MUST lodge a complaint. What Stern said "generally isn't deemed tampering" is players talking together away from the public. Stern didn't declare Players can say anything they want to anyone they want ... he said, behind the scenes chatting as friends is generally not deemed tampering.

We've had this discussion before. You're set in the idea players cannot tamper no matter what. I'm on the side that sees "players" in the NBA by-laws of the definition of tampering and see Stern giving them some leeway, but not 100% freedom.

I won't be replying after this. Nene deleting that is proof that it was deemed not cool, likely by the Rockets.

If it came down to keeping either Ariza or Gordon I'd have to pick Trevor.

If it came down to those to I think Ariza is more expandable since we would have Melo and Tucker where as Ego is the only other guard we have besides James and Chris

Why? In a system with the Big 3 I think Tucker can replace him easily

we all love eric. he's such a positive attitude guy who seems like a good person. he's also a fantastic player. however I'm bracing myself for the possibility that he may be in this trade. we give up one of anderson/gordon (hopefully anderson but you still do it if gordon is the only way) and keep ariza/capela.

I think that's what the plan is at this point
