There may not be a player available at $8.4M that's better than these two. I would love Patrick Patterson, for example, but he may be offered more by other teams already. The Rockets would still have the non-guaranteed guys if they want to snag a mid-level player (in fact, making up to $11.8M or so). It just will require a trade or sign and trade from another team-- Morey likely has some info as to how likely this is to happen.
Codman suggested Nene was much happier in Houston than previous places. I highly doubt hes going to take a bit more money to go play on some average basketball team. Rockets will get it done.
I used to be relatively close with some guys in Mark Cuban's corporate entourage out of Dallas. Paying under the table indeed happens. I had a good Ron Artest story on this.
I bet there is. So he lost a year and $3.75M. I thought players were going to take less to play on a contender (albeit not on GS' level but still). But he wants more money. Not that his loss would be insignificant but meh, if he goes he goes (if he's gonna haggle over this money).
When was the first, second, or third? Typically deals are done and that's that... Bosh was a change of mind cause he took the money last minute with an added 5th year. Plus that was probably for the best since if he steps on the court again he has a greater chance of DYING!
I'm trying to see if they can hash it out themselves or if big daddy needs to let the thang swang on these boys
