Quite true but Nene can give you the same things that Chandler can at a much cheaper price. On the other hand, I've given up all hope that they will be able to get rid of Brewer.
Seems like an ok signing for the price, but got damn, is Morey trying to build the All-Injury NBA First Team? How long until Kevin Martin is back?
I like adding Nene, but am worried about keeping DMo. I would really like to keep DMo for the 4/5 position & also for possible trade deadline moves.
You just couldn't resist pointing that out, could you? Look at it this way: In a thousand years, who's gonna care?
I think it will take at least 4 years for Zhouqi He is a weakside shotblocker, but who will play the bruiser for him in the middle?
We were not even seriously contending with Dwight. Yes we were always in conversation for the Top 5 but actually in reality we we were just at the end of Top 6 or Top 7.
This. I just don't even understand how anyone can be upset about a savvy vet back up who can still contribute at a high level in limited minutes. Not at that price tag.
Very low risk, high reward for a team with only one center on the roster. Morey getting all of his favorite players.
No, that's sarcasm. Cynicism would be something like: Does the $2.9M include his walker? Or: So they signed Nene, huh? I didn't know that the NBA has made their basketball courts wheelchair accessible. No wait - that's sarcasm also. Nevermind. BTW, I'm actually OK with this move given the current state of affairs.
At least we'll get plenty of "whip and nene" jokes out of it. Hope he can contribute something. Honestly, didn't realize he was still in the league after he lost his starting role with the Wizards. I remember when he got that contract for like 55 mil and we were all like whoahhh that's way too much...lol@salaries now. If this cap was in place back then...we would have been offering him 100m+...yikes
