Asik fumbles, jiggles, plays hot potato with the ball on every pass that it just baffles me. These aren't even dime dishes or something crazy, we're talking about just simple shuffle passes etc. I can see why Chicago played him as a situational player behind Noah. He crash the boards like no other but can't put a beach ball inside the ocean.

Bulls fans always said the same thing, his hands are a real problem and will probably limit his offensive potential.

Be real. You couldn't rely on Budinger to hit 3 pointers night in and night out. For every good game he had, he would have a larger number of bad games.

As for Kevin Martin, he was a good shooter but he was spotty as well. He would also pass open shots to drive only to do this awkward shot change and try to draw the foul. He wouldn't get calls on a lot of those. Martin was a liability on defense and didn't have much strength. Last but not least, Martin always disappeared when it mattered most. He never came through in clutch time. I don't think he ever hit a game winner or anything near one when he played for the Rockets. Good ridden.

Jeremy Lamb is unproven, for all we know he could be a choke artist.

On another note, I do think we over payed for Harden and Lin as well. Seems like a desperation move by management and/or Les Alexander. I thought Morey prided himself on "money ball". Oh well, at least we have a some what exciting and new team to watch. We'll get better in time. As long as McHale doesn't find a way to completely mess things up. I think we should be happy as Rockets fans. A lot of us here at ClutchFans were asking for a complete tear down and rebuild and we got it. We might not be done building yet but things are looking up considering the hectic last few years.

There is a lot of knee jerk reaction going on in this thread. Just a few days ago people were saying that we had the best back court in the NBA. Now people are saying we overpaid for our back court. Y'all are bugging. It is 4 games & not enough time to practice together. Be patient.

Roxxy the isnt jumping the gun. Weakness Is weakness and parsons cant shoot 3s n Is a liability on offense. Whilst patterson Is shooting 3s. This shows the lack of 3 PT shooters this team has

I wish I could watch the games, because from reading this thread... It looks like a lot people have no idea what they are talking about.

I'd say we need a physical PF who is scary around the rim.

I'd move Smith to the PF spot when he's back, move PatPat to the SF, move Parsons to the bench.

Aren't Harden and Lin supposed to be good three point shooters?

PatPat would get eaten alive as a SF.

We need better movement on offense. Morris is supposed to be baby Melo. He's chucking like Melo alright, but not making shots like Melo.

And our defense is very messy. But I have faith in our defense eventually figuring out. Offense not so much.

I don't think anybody around the league is scared of Smith.

Exactly, it's up to the coaches to have an offense not based on shooting so many threes. Also we shot 30 last night, that is too much, even for a team that has 4-5 good shooters like the 93-94 Rockets. We only have 1: Delfino, the rest is very inconsistent.

Well we did, an 80 million dollar contract for Harden is a little too much if you ask me, especially when, like I said before, Morey considers himself a money ball GM. I just don't think Harden earned an 80 million dollar contract. Lin was obviously over payed because he is an average player.

By the way roxxy, you have A LOT of posts since you've been here at ClutchFans. You almost have 2000 posts and you haven't been here for half of a year. That's over 13 posts a day. You're clogging the boards. I know there isn't a rule on how many times you can post but maybe you should ease up a little bit and make some room for others to post. There are posters here that have only 300-1000 posts and they've been here far longer than 5 months. I actually agree with a lot of your posts too, but many of them are redundant and repeating the same thing over and over again.

This isn't an attack on you, just thought I would give you a heads up.

As long as he doesn't create countless useless threads it's hardly "clogging" the board. Just because you post a lot less doesn't mean you have to tell other people how much they should post.

Um, isn't 4 games a little TOO soon to determine whether an $80M contract is good value or not? Especially since THIS year he only makes $5.8M?

As for Lin, even if we accepted the idea that he's an average PG (which I don't given his stat lines and that the sample size is exceptionally small), $8M/year is STILL cheap for that. Decent starting PG's don't exactly grow on trees...
