Duke and Texas in the same bracket. Ouch. UConn looks to have the easy road. UCLA is #2, but GW is #8? UNC is #3, but BC is a #4 who beat UNC twice. Syracuse went from out of the tournament to #5. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/ncaatourney06/news/story?page=2006matchups Washington, D.C. Does anyone know where I can find the game times for the NCAA games? more specifically the play in gametime on Tuesday night? EDIT:Found it
Man the selection committee made a huge deal out of Syracuse's run. Like mleahy said, the went from "bubble, on the outside looking in" to a freakin' 5 seed. Well, just about every year a 12 beats a 5, so TAMU is my upset special this year.
Ditto. It's not like the just blew through the Big East tourney. I think that run may have taken a lot out of them. I see Aggies with a big win.
I set up a Yahoo pick'em for anyone who wants to do it. http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/men The Private Group is Clutch Fans - "68625" Password "dreamshake". EDIT: fixed Group ID #
A&M over Syracuse would not be a suprise. McNamara tweaked his groin, I think, in their Big East run. I don't know what the NCAA committee was smoking giving them a 5 seed, but it may just have been a blessing in disguide for A&M.
Among the Big 12 teams, KU has the best and golden opportunity to get in to the FF. If their frosh and sophomores are able to play like they did against Texas yesterday, watch out. I really love Julian Wright's play. He would be a great choice alongside Yao. Texas is screwed and has no chance to beat Duke, especially with Gibson sucking like that. Cannot see that OU and A&M win more than 1 game in the tourney.
I joined. We should get an official thread going in the BBS (if it's alright with the admins) so more people will see it.
Just joined too- one of my many brackets that I've filled out online. Hopefully I'll get pretty close in one of them. I like Texas over UCLA in one natty semi and UCONN over B.C. in the other Texas over UCONN in the championship.
Last year we did one of the espn tournament challenges and posted it in the Hangout. I'll start a thread up in there tonight if nobody else does.
A&M is horrible against zone defenses, and syracuse has one of the best. This will be an interesting game. It is going to fall on Josh Carter and Dominique Kirk. Any gamblers out there, bet the under and thank me later.
I may be wrong but I dont know if I see A&M beating Syracuse. Their a battle tested group and that 3-2 zone is devestating. Then again 'Cuse could be worn out from the Big East tournament.
